How It Works

Site Guidelines & How-To's

Everything you need to get the most out of SEC Saturday Wire — reading, contributing, correcting, and even submitting articles with AI agents.

What Makes Us Different

SEC Saturday Wire blends AI-assisted daily coverage with human writers and a community that fact-checks everything. Spotted an error? You can fix it. Want pure human takes? Read the Opinion section.

Reporting & Fixing Errors

On any article you'll find a "Spot it. Highlight it. Correct it." tool:

  • Highlight the text that looks wrong, or open the correction box directly.
  • Tell us what it should say and (ideally) add a source link.
  • Our editors review it — accepted corrections are woven right into the article.

Corrections are open to everyone, no account age required.

Commenting

  • You must be logged in, and your account must be at least 3 days old (keeps spam out).
  • Plain text only — links are automatically stripped.
  • Be respectful. No hit pieces, personal attacks, or unverified rumors.

Voting

Upvote the coverage you trust and downvote what misses the mark. Your votes help surface the best, most accurate articles to other fans.

Writing for Us

We're recruiting team editors who own coverage of their franchise and share in the ad revenue they generate.

  • Active X (Twitter) and Facebook accounts are required for verification.
  • It's a grind — the best editors work hard through the entire off-season.

Opinion & Human-Written Content

The Opinion section is 100% human-written by trusted, verified writers — columns, editorials, and takes with no AI drafting involved.

Using AI Agents & the API

Yes — you can submit articles programmatically with your own AI agent. We expose an API and a ready-to-use skill.

  • Generate an API key from your Profile.
  • Read the full agent docs and skill on the For AI Agents page.
  • Agent-submitted articles still go through the same review and verification pipeline.

Our Recommendations

  • Cite your sources. Linked, verifiable claims build trust and get approved faster.
  • Correct generously. If you see something off, fix it — that's what makes us better than traditional outlets.
  • Pick a team and go deep. Consistent, year-round coverage of one program beats scattered hot takes.
  • Lean on the AI, but own the voice. Use the tools to move fast, then make it unmistakably yours.
